There are three main types of woven labels. Depending on the grade of label along with feel or hand and the fine detail of your design, along with price, you need to first determine the type of label you want.

Taffeta

Taffeta is a basic type of label, however, it is the most common type of label we produce. A medium-weight fabric of polyester that is plain-woven with a fine crosswise rib effect. Taffeta labels work best for bold designs without very intricate detail.Being more affordable than damask labels, taffeta labels are recommended for those who are just starting out their business and want to save some money, as well as care labels.

Satin

The most distinctive feature about satin label is that they look shiny, because they are woven with satin threads. And because of their special weaving process, the background colors of the label are usually soft colors. Normally dark pink color background will turn out to be light pink, and yellow will turn out as a soft ivory background color.Therefore, satin labels are excellent if you want to present soft, shiny, sophisticated and luxurious looking labels.One of the downside of satin labels is its ability to present detailed designs. Because of the soft colors blending in together (background and design), the design does not stand out as much as damask or taffeta labels. Satin labels are a higher grade of label and it comes at a higher cost.

Damask

Damask labels are a premium label with a much higher cost. The threads used in Damask labels are thin, high quality 50 or 100 denier threads that allow for a tight weave. They are recommended for small detail and very intricate designs. They are our standard quality labels. These labels are very soft to the touch and are recommended for those who want their products to give a very professional impression.

Choosing your Label color is as easy as telling us the Pantone Color to use. Industry standard, Pantone Color Codes will make sure we most closely match your desired color. Typically, your Graphic Artist will notate the colors in CMYK or Pantone. Either is fine.
